Tofu, miso and soymilk are traditional soy food items that are still very popular throughout most parts of Asia. A greater variety of new soy food is now available throughout the world due to innovative technologies. Soy ‘meats’ such as burgers, hot dogs, nuggets and chunks; as well as flavored tofu and fortified soymilk are just a few of the new items offered in the market.
The discovery of the nutritional value and potential health benefits of soy through credible scientific research amplified interest in soy. This led to increased consumption of soy throughout the world.
